Parent
Education

The single highest-leverage investment in a child's health is knowledge in the hands of the parents.

Medically reviewed by Dr. Chitrakshi Tewari, MD (Paediatrics)

Parent education gives you evidence-based answers on feeding, sleep, development and everyday child health, so you can make confident decisions instead of sifting through conflicting advice. Dr. Chitrakshi Tewari runs online one-on-one sessions and workshops built on a simple idea: informed parents raise healthier children.

“Informed, educated parents raise healthier children.” · the core principle behind everything Dr. Chitrakshi does.

Why education is a medical intervention

Parents make hundreds of health decisions before a doctor is ever involved: what to feed, when to worry, how to respond to fever at midnight. Health-literate parents make measurably better calls, seek care at the right time, and are far less vulnerable to the misinformation that floods every parenting feed. That is why education isn't an add-on to my practice; it is the core of it.

Formats that fit real life

One-on-one deep-dive sessions on your specific parenting stage
Group workshops (like Starting Solids / baby led weaning)
New-parent preparation before and after delivery
Myth-busting sessions: fevers, teething, tonics and more
School-age topics: screens, sleep, study stress
Custom sessions for grandparents and caregivers

Everything is sourced

Every session is built on current guidance from bodies like the WHO, the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the CDC, translated into practical language and Indian context. When the evidence is uncertain, I say so; when a popular trend contradicts it, I show you the data and let you decide.

Follow along daily

Between sessions, my Instagram shares short, evidence-based tips on the questions parents ask most, the same rigour, one reel at a time.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions parents ask

Every child is different. If your question is not answered here, ask it in a consultation, that is exactly what they are for.

Sessions cover the everyday questions that matter most: feeding and nutrition, sleep, developmental milestones, behaviour and discipline, screen time, vaccination, and preventing common illnesses. The content is tailored to your child's age and your family's specific questions.
They are held online by video call, one-on-one or as small workshops, at a time that suits you. You can ask questions directly and leave with practical, evidence-based steps you can actually use, rather than conflicting advice from the internet.
Any time helps, and even before your baby arrives. Expectant and new parents gain the most from early guidance on feeding, sleep and development, but sessions are just as useful through toddlerhood and the school years as new questions come up.
Parents today face a flood of conflicting advice online. Evidence-based guidance cuts through the noise with what research and clinical experience actually support, so you can make confident decisions and avoid unnecessary worry, products or interventions.
Instagram gives you the principles; a session applies them to your child. We go deep on your specific situation, answer the follow-ups content can't, and leave you with a written, personalised plan.
Yes. Workshops like Starting Solids run periodically for groups of parents, and custom sessions can be arranged for parent groups, schools or organisations. Message me on WhatsApp for upcoming dates.
Not at all. Second-time parents face new questions too: sibling dynamics, different temperaments, and updated guidance since their first child. Sessions are tailored to where you actually are.
